Eating Mindfully is one of the most important steps you can take to prioritize your health.

Start to pay attention to your thoughts around food.

Do you...

  • Eat your meals slowly or quickly?

  • Where do you eat your meals? At the table? In front of the TV?

  • Are there distractions while you eat?

Practice This

  • Tune into your feelings of hunger and fullness. Ask yourself, am I hungry right now?

  • What type of food does your body crave? Is it creamy? crunchy? sweet? savory?

  • How you can create a nourishing meal or snack that is also satisfying?

  • Eat your meals at a table when you can and limit distractions.

  • Create a relaxing environment. Practice slowing down while eating. Chew your food thoroughly. Put your fork down between bites.

  • Challenge any negative thoughts about foods.

  • Remember food is neutral! It is not good or bad.
