My two and a half year old is obsessed with blue - (his favorite song is blue da ba dee). Of course I wanted to make him a blue smoothie. Blue spirulina is naturally blue algae powder (also called Blue Majik) you can add it to your foods to use as a food coloring without adding much taste. It is also rich in minerals and a vegan source of B12.

Serves 2

- 1 tsp blue spirulina

- 1 Tbsp chia seeds

- 3 Tbsp oats

- 3 Tbsp hemp hearts

- 1 scoop vanilla protein (we used Owyn plant-based protein powder)

- 2 frozen bananas

- 1/2 cup milk of choice

Handful of ice

Blend! adjust milk to desired thickness
