Chocolate for Breakfast

Sometimes you need a chocolate smoothie to get you through Monday morning. Or as my toddler calls them “brown smoothies” Swipe for recipe!

We used Owyn plant-based protein powder.

Tips: Use ripe bananas, both fresh and frozen work well, if you’re using frozen adjust the ice.

Add to blender

  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds

  • 3 dates

  • 2 Tbsp almond butter

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder

  • 1 Tbsp oats

  • 3 Tbsp hemp hearts

  • 1/2 cup milk of choice


Then add to blender

  • large handful of ice

  • 2 frozen bananas

  • large handful frozen spinach

  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (adjust to desired thickness)


Serves 2. Enjoy!
